Vicky Reeves to talk social media at ‘Making the Connection’ event (19/05/2010)
Vicky Reeves, Managing Director at digital agency Chameleon Net, is to speak at Making the Connection, an event run by media and organisational development consultancy, the Creative Collective, on 26 May 2010.
The one day seminar, to be held at the Wellcome Trust in London, is aimed at those working in PR, diversity and media in the private, public and voluntary sectors, advising them on how best to engage with ethnically and culturally diverse audiences in light of the new Equality Act, and with social media ever on the rise.
Joined by the likes of Paul Mylrea, the BBC’s Head of Press and Media Relations, and The Guardian’s Legal Affairs Correspondent, Afua Hirsch, Vicky will be speaking about how to use social media for effective public engagement.
“We chose Vicky to speak because of her experience in the field of digital communication to culturally diverse audiences” says Joy Francis, Managing Director at The Creative Collective.
“Chameleon Net has a track record of success in driving the likes of the Equality and Human Rights Commission and Barnardo’s’ online activity forward. They are well-placed to offer an authoritative and relevant perspective to equip our delegates with the confidence to engage with social media effectively to reach their target audiences,” adds Joy.
“This event promises to be a lively day of discussion and I’m looking forward to bringing my thoughts to the table coming from a digital media perspective” says Vicky Reeves, Managing Director at Chameleon Net.
“Social media has become so ingrained in our day to day lives now that it’s vital for organisations to use it to its full potential in communicating with their diverse audiences” says Vicky.
